Headlight Restoration

Cloudy, yellowed lenses scatter light and shorten the reach of your beams. Our restoration service removes oxidation, levels the surface with controlled sanding, and finishes with an automotive 2K UV-stable clear—bringing back clarity, output, and a clean, modern look.

Our Process (Short & Meticulous)

StepWhat We DoWhy It Matters
Protect & Inspect Mask edges and assess oxidation, pitting, or cracking. Clean edges reduce sanding marks on paint and guide grit selection.
Level Wet sand in controlled stages (coarse → fine), then refine. Removes yellowed layer uniformly; sets a smooth foundation.
Prep Solvent wipe and lint-free dryness checks. Promotes strong, even adhesion for the clear coat.
Seal Apply catalyzed 2K urethane clear, then dust-free cure window. True UV stability and durability vs. short-term wipes.

Headlight Restoration FAQs

How long does it last?

With sensible washing and no abrasive polishing, most daily-driven cars see durable clarity for years from a 2K clear. Severe sun exposure and neglect shorten lifespan; garaging and regular washing extend it.

Will you remove the bumper or lenses?

No. This is performed on-vehicle in most cases. If a lens must be removed to correct edge failure, we’ll discuss options before work (rare).

What can’t be fixed?

Internal moisture, reflector damage, deep cracks, and inner-layer delamination require replacement housings. We’ll point these out during inspection.

Any aftercare?

Keep lenses dry for 24 hours, avoid brush/tunnel washes for a week, and wash with pH-neutral soap. Don’t polish lenses—if they ever lose slickness, ask us to decon and re-top with a compatible protectant.

Maintain the New Clarity

Keeping the rest of the vehicle easy to wash helps headlights stay cleaner, too. Learn how long-term coatings change winter maintenance and resist salt buildup.
